Shop and Cafe Volunteer

Built in 1535 by prominent courtier of Henry VIII, Sir Ralph Sadleir, Sutton House retains much of the atmosphere of a Tudor home despite some alterations by later occupants, including a succession of merchants, Huguenot silk weavers, and squatters. Discover oak-panelled rooms, original carved fireplaces and a charming courtyard.

Soup Kitchen Volunteer

?A souper way to get involved with the Finsbury Park community?

We run a Soup Kitchen based at St John’s the Evangelist, Brownswood Park (the Hackney bit of Finsbury Park!). To keep this project running we are looking for UCL students who live in the area to volunteer a few hours of their time on a Tuesday evening.

There is a mix of volunteering opportunities available, depending on what you want to take on, from serving soup at the weekly soup kitchen to getting involved in co-ordinating the project.

Cooking or Hosting Volunteers

Organisation:

FoodCycle takes food that would have been thrown in the bin but is perfectly good to eat into a three course meal for people in our community. We tackle food poverty and loneliness by getting communities together to eat a healthy vegetarian meal. If you like getting creative, eating good food and having a chat then this is the opportunity for you!
