Centra Care & Support are looking for volunteers to lead fun activities for service users living in sheltered accommodation. Perhaps you’re into knitting. From as little as 1 hour per week, we have different volunteering opportunities across London for friendly people to facilitate such as Knitting Volunteering, with the aim of providing an environment where vulnerable adult service users feel valued.

After School Club

Recruiting Now! Autumn Term, starting 17th September!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3.30 - 5.30pm, we welcome a group of primary school children for ‘after school club’ to our Family Centre in Pimlico. Children are mostly from refugee and migrant families.

Volunteers encourage and join in on the activities, including; arts and crafts, cooking, indoor/outdoor games. The club encourages and develops children’s social and independent skills.

Volunteer Book Reviewer

Organisation: 

We’re looking for committed and enthusiastic students (Masters or PhD level in a relevant discipline) to review new books on the Holocaust and genocide selected by the Library. All Volunteer Book Reviewers will attend an induction at the Library to learn about its history and our current work. Although this role can be completely remotely, Book Reviewers are encouraged to make use of the Reading Room and therefore will be made familiar with resources during the induction session. All articles will be proof read by a staff member before they are published online.

Healthy Minds Academy Volunteer

Creative Befriending

The purpose of the St Pancras Community Association is to offer accessible services and activities which will improve the quality of life for older people living locally, especially those who are isolated or vulnerable.

In this role you will visit a local older person or someone with mental health issues in their home once a week for an hour or two, and helping them to develop a creative art practice which may be based around painting, drawing, or sculpting.
