Henna Asian Women's Group

Henna Asian Women�s Group is a community based organisation set up over 30 years ago to assist Asian ladies from India, Pakistan and East Africa. Ladies who may otherwise be isolated or lonely are given the opportunity to engage with like minded individuals with whom they may share certain customs, values and attributes.

Our mission statement is �To improve the quality of Asian women�s lives by reducing isolation, encouraging active participation and providing information and support�

Ad hoc Thursday cooking club – 4pm-6pm Ad hoc Thursday exercise sessions – 3.45pm-4.45pm Saturday Outings – Full day (10am-4pm)

Henna is currently looking for volunteers to take part in a new project based around elderly people being assisted into recreational activities, exercise sessions and cooking clubs. We will be running a variety of workshops and outings beginning in October 2018 till May 2020. We are requiring volunteers to assist beneficiaries in completing evaluation forms, assisting within workshops as well as building rapport with the beneficiaries and increasing their confidence.

We will provide travel expenses to all volunteers and for volunteers that will be volunteering for a full day we will also cover lunch expenses.
