At Age UK Westminster we operate a weekly information and advice telephone helpline for our service users and other members of the public which takes place between 10am-2pm, from Monday to Friday. We rely heavily on our trained Reception Volunteers to deliver this vital service.

We would like volunteers to join us for just a minimum of 4 hours per week, to manage our busy telephone helpline, dealing with enquiries, providing information and advice to our service users, signposting callers to other service providers in order to enable them to access the services they require. We would also require your assistance in providing general administrative support to our small staff team.

We are looking for volunteers to keep in regular telephone contact with AJR members, over the age of 90, who are refugees and survivors of the Holocaust. These calls can be very rewarding for the volunteer. They are given the privilege of hearing extraordinary stories and the inter-generational bonds that inevitably form ensure that the experience of the Holocaust will not be forgotten.
