Volunteer Assistant Driver

Free of charge, The Felix Project collects good quality food from suppliers. We check it’s fresh and then deliver it to charities so they can give vulnerable people a healthy meal or snack. Put simply, we’re saving food and changing lives.

Opportunity: Admin and Vehicle Checks and Vehicle Cleaning Volunteer

The purpose of the volunteer roles are to enable HCT to strengthen our offer of Community Transport in Hackney. The volunteer admin role will help ‘behind the scenes’ to support us to operate a smooth process from booking to using the vehicles. The volunteer vehicle checks and cleaning of vehicles will mean that we continue to offer vehicles which are in excellent working order as well as being clean and ready to use by each group.

Food Delivery Volunteer

FareShare London redistributes surplus food to charities and community groups across the capital, who turn it into meals for vulnerable people. We operate a warehouse in Deptford, South East London, where we sort and store surplus food and then deliver it on our vans to our member charities and community groups across London.

Have great days on the water on a traditional narrowboat!

Our aim is to offer disadvantaged community groups an experience of a canal trip on a traditional narrowboat. We run and maintain ‘Tarporley’ - a historic Northwich narrowboat, converted to carry 12 passengers. We mainly do day or evening trips but also longer ones as passengers & crew can sleep aboard.

Opportunity: Volunteer Assistant Driver

The Assistant Driver accompanies the driver on set routes, collecting surplus food from suppliers and delivering to charities.
