Administrative Volunteer

We offer a number of volunteering roles for you and if you have an expertise creative, music, sports you are welcome to volunteer, you will really help our people access the community and achieve their goals.

Digi-Buddy (supporting digital inclusion)


Digi-buddies help people get to grip with online technology such as searching the web, applying for online benefits, setting up email accounts, applying for jobs, form filling, contacting 3rd parties and much more. You will be significantly involved in helping users (members of the public) that have limited skills, motivation or physical access to get online. Ultimately you will be supporting users to acquire skills that will enable them to make their own decisions and deal with issues themselves in the future.

Reception Duties/Gallery Steward Volunteer


Our team of volunteers are a huge part of the Foundling Museum, having being instrumental in establishing the Museum prior to its opening in 2004 and continuing to contribute to its success today. St John’s Hospice In-Patient unit requires the support of volunteers to manage its reception desk. Reception volunteers are the first point of contact for all patients, family members and visitors to the Hospice and must be able to communicate in a professional yet caring manner over the telephone and face to face.

The welcome, consideration, respect and guidance the receptionist offers can help ease the anxiety and worry people can feel when coming into the hospice, especially for the first time.
