It’s that time of year again when gloves and scarves come out of hiding, when Christmas lights go on around London and, of course, when brave athletes from UCLU sports teams get their kit

Award-winning sport at UCL

Above all, we want the Students’ Union to be inclusive. We want to know that we are truly open to everyone and have opportunities that can be accessed by all students, not matter who you are, where you come from or what you enjoy. That’s why we are hugely proud to have been awarded the British University and College Sport (BUCS) Take a Stand award for inclusivity in sport.

Pride in Sport

Being active can be a great way to make friends and build confidence. And there’s no place on that pitch for discrimination.

Project Active

If training and trials aren’t for you, why not take part in our Project Active sessions instead?  You don’t have to be competitive to be active! Our sessions are open to all UCL students and staff.

No Commitment.

No Judgement.

No Experience Needed.

Just beginner  friendly, inclusive activity adapted to you!

UC13x5 - Policy Update - 'Motion to ban UCLU Sport'

An emergency Union Council meeting (UC13x5) last night voted 7-2 in favour of the ‘Motion to ban UCLU sport (UP1414)’. The motion, which will be available online shortly, cites reasons such as safety and funding shortages in support of the ban. After an hour of debate on the issue, council were forced to a vote by the union chair. The motion passed and comes in to force with immediate effect.

The resolves of the motion are to:

(1) Disaffiliate all UCLU sports clubs with effect from the beginning of next academic year (2014-15)

Whether you’ve played cricket before or you’re a complete beginner (beginners are warmly welcomed and encouraged), we’d love you to come along and join our team. We’ve got loads of exciting opportunities coming up this term, including a TOUR to Hamburg, matches available for all players, socials and training at some of the best facilities in the world (Lord’s Cricket Ground).

Events & Activities for Postgrads

Your time at UCL isn’t just about your academic work! Through Students’ Union UCL and the PGA, the UCL student community has created a huge array of opportunities to take time out and get to know other students. Whether you want to relax or get active, and however much time you want to give, there’s something for everyone. And if (unusually!) what you’re looking for doesn’t exist, perhaps you’ll be the one to create it!
