Engaging the community through Rugby

On 26th February and 5th March UCL Men’s rugby visited Chislehurst Sixth form and Chislehurst School for girls to inform and inspire their year 12 and year 7 students.

They first spoke to 70 Year 12 students; sharing their experiences on preparing for university, choosing the right university and how to navigate the first year as a university student. The sixth form students then broke out into smaller groups for a Q&A with the UCLRFC members.

Global connectivity is virtually inescapable in the 21st century, seeming to dissolve state and economic borders. Cultures exist and mix in ways that were inconceivable in living memory.

What is a Trustee?

UCLU is a registered charity. As a charity Trustee, you will be a member of the Trustee Board that ensures UCLU has the necessary financial and structural stability to carry out its aims effectively. On a practical level this means you need to be able to make major decisions on legal and financial issues and ensure that UCLU is delivering on the political policy set by the elected representatives of UCLU.

What is UCLU’s legal status?

UCLU is a charitable company limited by guarantee (incorporated).
