Black History Month 2016: Help us with our exhibition!

We are looking for a creative individual to assist us in curating an exhibition to pay tribute to the Black British movement in fitting with our theme for our 2016 Black History Month celebrations.  We welcome expressions of interest with an outline proposal for the exhibition.

Statement from UCLU on Liberation

Liberation is not the same as equality. Providing equality to all ignores the fact that some groups of people face barriers and oppressions, both personal and systematic, which mean providing equal treatment for all will still leave them behind. We believe it is vital that the solution to these oppressions, liberation campaigns, should be led and determined by those who face these oppressions. Someone who does not self-define into a marginalised group which faces oppression will never truly know what these students need, want or how they are affected by the decision being made.
