The project will test the hypotheses that vision impaired  children and young people (CYP) have lifestyles that are significantly different to the lifestyles of sighted CYP, for example, in respect of independent travel, leisure activities, friendship patterns etc. Using a purpose designed questionnaire, data will be collected from a sample of approximately 100 vision impaired CYP currently in receipt of RSBC services and a comparison group of approximately 200 sighted CYP aged between 11- and 18 years attending local schools.
