Students’ Union UCL is an organisation that exists to make more happen. UCL students have the potential to do anything, and the Union leads an essential role in helping to them achieve things they may never had thought possible. We are the representative body for University College London’s (UCL) 38,000 students, one of the most diverse student communities in the world. 

This role sits within the student activities team. The Sports Assistant supports the administration of TeamUCL, helping to ensure we meet our aim of becoming the best University for Sport in London. 

Main responsibilities

• To check emails regularly; respond to enquiries or forward where appropriate within agreed timelines.

• To check and log travel reclaim forms 

• To check and log referee receipt forms

• To check and log BUCS & LUSL team sheets

• To assist the Sports Administrator with the allocation of match officials 

• To assist with conducting sports club membership checks 

• To maintain up to date records of coaches and instructors

• To assist with the set-up and running of events during the London Varsity Series Week. 

• To assist with the set-up and running of the TeamUCL Sport Ball

• To assist with the set-up and running of the Mandy Walker Alumni Games

• To update the Students’ Union UCL & London Varsity Series websites 

• To attend meetings where necessary with Students’ Union UCL.

General Duties

• To actively follow and promote UCL Equal Opportunities and Diversity policies.

• To maintain an awareness and observation of fire and Health and Safety Law and Regulations.

• To commit to reducing The Union’s environmental impact and promote environmental and ethical good practice in line with Union policy.

• To attend appropriate meetings as and when required by the Union.

• To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade and purpose of the post.
