UCL Student residences has a small number of flats available for students with families or student couples. Priority of allocation is given to international students in the first instance and the demand for these residences always exceeds availability so unfortunately there is no guarantee UCL will be able to make you an offer if you apply.

There are a few other options available to students with requirements for family accommodation listed below.

Postgraduate students

University of London Intercollegiate Halls

International Hall - Postgraduates can apply here for one of a large number of self-catered double studios at £35 per night, in which postgraduate couples are given first priority. There are also a number of one, two and three bedroom flats for couples and families in International Hall which range from £41 to £63 per night.

Lillian Penson Hall - Postgraduate students with partners can also apply here, in addition to its single rooms for postgraduates Lillian Penson has 22 single studios, six small flats and a range of 48 rooms and flats for students with partners. All rooms have internet access, telephones and have en-suite bathrooms prices range from £32.80 to £40 per night. Children and babies cannot be accommodated

Goodenough College

Goodenough college has a range of accommodation suitable for couples and families including double ensuite rooms, studio apartments and one or two bedroom flats. Prices range from £226-385 per week excluding VAT. A limited number of scholarships are available (unfortunately applications for 13/14 have now closed). Nansen Village

International postgraduate student couples or families with a maximum of two childern are eligible to apply here. Accommodation ranges from studios at £522 per month, to two bedroom bungalows between £632-£657 a month or one or two bedroom flats from £616-834 per month (for 12/13 academic year). University Managed Accommodation/Property management Unit

There are 21 flats on Gower Street for full-time University of London postgraduate students. Each flat is fully furnished and has a dishwasher and washing machine.The majority of the flats in the building are for couples, some are for individual students and one is for a family with one child under the age of five.

Prices range from £55-£63.50 a day including wifi, heating and electricity, a months rent is payable in advance. Ducane Housing Association

Duncane Housing association caters for postgraduate student couples with one bed flats at £738.81 per month inclusive of water bills or postgraduate families looking for 3 bedroom flats at £960.09 per month inclusive of water bills. Undergraduates & Postgraduates

International Students' House

International Students' House operates 62 flats for couples and students with families, suitable for both British and overseas students, undergraduates and postgraduates. These are a combination of studio flats for couples and one and two bedroomed flats for those with children. The flats are located at York Terrace East which overlooks Regent’s Park and south of the river at Blain House in Balham, which is close to Tooting Common. Blain House comprises both one and two bedroomed flats.

Priority is given to students letting for a full academic year and prices range from £700-2,230 per month.

ISH provides around 47 accommodation scholarships to students studying at one of their membership institutions (UCL is a member).
