We hold General Assemblies so that any member of the Union can vote on motions relating to something really important. These are the issues that we think it’s necessary to be able to say that a large number of you have agreed or disagreed with something.

Anyone can attend and vote, and anyone can submit motions to be discussed and voted on. If there is something you’d like to put forward, there is some useful advice on how best to do that here and the deadlines that you’ll need below.

If you have an emergency issue which has occurred after the above deadline for motions or concerns a matter which cannot wait until the next meeting, you should send these to the Union Chair at least three hours before the meeting is due to start, i.e. 3:00pm, Tuesday 23 January (to be submitted electronically at su-union.chair@ucl.ac.uk)
