As the UCL campus is continuously growing, it is becoming of increasing importance that we as a student body apply ourselves in ensuring our campus is as sustainable as possible. This is why I’m running for Sustainability Officer.

When I’m elected as Sustainability Officer, I will:

• get rid of plastic bottles in the SU
• introduce more water fountains
• have a map for all water fountains on campus, which is on the UCLgo app
• get rid of the final fossil fuel investment
Mae Faugere
Hi! I am Maë, a climate lover passionate about change.

After having been part of UCL Sustainability Ambassadors for a year, I intend to take over on Seher Ghufoor to become the next Sustainability Officer.
My goal is to inform students on climate change, communicate the efforts undergone by UCL and the UCLU, and facilitate student engagement in sustainable causes.

What I want to do:
- Gather a team of climate enthusiastic students to effectively promote sustainability on campus.
- Raise awareness on climate functioning and the consequences of its disruption with monthly workshops.
- Provide a structure for individual UCL students to develop their own sustainability related projects.
- Run the second edition of Sustainability In Our City Conference.
- Increase communication on the sustainable efforts undergone by UCL and the Student Union.
- Ensure UCLU's development and financial decisions are environmentally and ethically sound.
- Lobby UCL into having sustainable fashion and green internet on campus.

For this to happen, I will need you on my side.
Please, do contact me if you want to engage in sustainability on campus, we can make great things together!
Yanqi Cheng
Hi! Want some change around campus for a greener environment?
That’s the reason why I am standing for the Sustainability Officer. My passion is getting involved in improving our campus to a more environmentally friendly place.
Despite keep maintaining the current schemes, the listed below are a few points that I would concentrate on to improve and some ideas to alleviate the problem:
1. Reduce FOOD waste
- promote donation to charity
- encourage recyclable packing box
2. Reduce PAPER waste
- reduce waste on handouts.
- recycle posters and flyers
- provide recyclable paper at printers
3. Promote GREEN TRAVEL
- more bicycle parking lot
- introduce UCL shared bikes
4. Reduce usage of PLASTIC BOTTLES
- more water fountains around campus
I will really treasure this opportunity and try my best to promote a more ethical and sustainable campus!
