The Royal Society for Blind Children has a target to reach 11,000 families by 2020. At present they are only reaching 2000 families, and feel they may require huge organisational change to make this happen on a national scale.

They recently commissioned some research which mapped their audience's key lifestages and needs from birth to 25 years old.  It identified three gaps needing to be plugged to reach their target: 1) Onboarding our families in the right way so they have a strong initial and ongoing contact 2) Delivering support proactively 3) Connecting parents to build resilience.

As a result Project Theia has been designed to address these gaps in the form of five MVPs. These MVPs change the way they deliver everything from advertising to attending an event.

At present data is unclear and we have no benchmarks so it is important that we understand the dials we need to turn to reach our goal.
