If you are even just a little bit curious about Sign Language, we're the Society for you!

We offer lessons on campus with a qualified teacher, giving you the opportunity to learn beginner friendly BSL. One trial class is FREE with taster membership and to attend classes throughout the academic year will cost £15 only for a standard membership. You can also meet others and make friends in the Society while we explore this fascinating language together.

Learning BSL is fun, useful and gives access to a whole new community and culture you may otherwise not be able to communicate with. Understanding BSL is a valuable skill to have in the workplace when interacting with others, allowing you to stand out in a competitive job marketplace.

This year we got nominated for society of the year in the Language and Culture category award by Bright Network, so if you want to be part of one of the best Language and Culture societies don't wait up!

What does the standard membership cover?

Alongside weekly free lessons, we also organise themed catered socials, game nights, movie screenings, cafe outings, ASL tasters, d/Deaf speakers and collaborated events with other London Uni sign language societies. (Our current events will be visible at the bottom of this page)

Check our Instagram page to find the Whatsapp Group chat link and receive updates on society events, so you don't miss out this year! Please message us (e-mail or instagram) for the link (available for both taster and standard members)
