Know a club, society, or student volunteer who's made a difference? Nominate them ❤️ for an award.

Students’ Union's are led by students, and this makes us different from any other organisation you’ll meet this year. You get to vote and decide who leads the Union every March, and these seven students were elected to work full-time until next summer.

They’ve taken a year out of student life to work full-time representing you. That means running campaigns that make UCL a better place, giving the student view on important University meetings, and making sure that the Union is always working to make more happen here at UCL.

Here's your new team:

Activities Officer - Khaleel Mirza

Black and Minority Ethnic Students’ Officer - Samira Abdalla

Democracy, Operations and Community Officer - Mahmud Rahman

Education Officer - Farooq Dean

Postgraduate Students’ Officer - Saddiqur Rahman

Welfare and International Officer - Rothna Akhtar

Women’s Officer - Abeni Olayinka Adeyemi

The whole point of the Union is to make your time at university better in any way we can. We know that the best way to find out what would make students’ lives better is to give you the chance to tell us (and the university, and the government; anyone you need to tell to make the changes you want).

There are actually thousands of elected students, feeding into decisions big and small across UCL. These students represent you in your hall, on your course, in your department. They represent Women, BME, LGBT, and Disabled students; they represent postgraduate, international and medical students. Whoever you are and whatever you’re doing here, chances are there’ll be someone you can talk to to get your views heard - or an opportunity to stand and be elected yourself.

Stop and say hi to the team, they’re here for you.
